Reflecting on the Weekend

I hope everyone had a wonderful Independence Day weekend! We had a great time going to the park in our area (Appropriately named "4th of July Park!") and watching fireworks with family and friends.
I couldn't help but wonder what Aydan would have thought of the fireworks. My nephew was there (he's the same age as Aydan would be), and he was terrified! I have a feeling that Aydan would have laughed right through them. He was such a brave little boy.
That reminds me that next month is SMA awareness month. I'm hoping, in the near future, I can team up with other parents and help raise funds in our area to help fight this horrible disease. Just like their motto says: "Awareness is the beginning of change!"
